MorzyAnna Morzy is a Partner with Fragomen Worldwide.  She has a passion and dedication to the legal field of immigration and the process of assisting foreign nationals in creating a life in the United States.

Anna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship from DePaul University and a J.D. from Loyola University, both in Chicago.  As a native of Poland, Anna is fluent in Polish and is a prominent member of Chicago’s Polish community, where her professional and philanthropic influence are unmistakable.   In fact, Anna is the active President of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce and is integral in spearheading and speaking at local, national and international events that promote and develop the Polish business community. As Chicago contains the world’s second-largest urban population of individuals of Polish decent – surpassed only by Warsaw -  Anna’s work has a strong impact both on the city and on international business enterprises.  

Anna also contributes significantly to the business and immigration community in the State of Illinois.  As a member of the Steering Committee of the Illinois Business Immigration Coalition, a Board Member of the Illinois Coalition for Immigration and Refugee Rights, and an Active Member of the Chicago Relocation Council,  she works with political officials in Illinois to ensure awareness of the immigrant community and progress in issues related to immigration law, as well as the importance of attracting foreign direct investment to the State of Illinois via immigrant-owned businesses and investments.  Anna uses a variety of platforms to advocate immigration and foreign direct investment, such as radio, publications, lectures, and personal appearances.  She is regularly invited to be interviewed on local radio, has been quoted by the Chicago Tribune and Fortune, and has spoken at national and international conferences regarding EB-5  and a variety of other legal issues in immigration law.  Anna is additionally actively involved immigration policy development through participation on committees such as the American Jewish Committee/Ford Foundation Immigration Advocacy Project.   

As a Partner at Fragomen Worldwide, Anna’s practice consists of advising multinational corporations, U.S. employers and foreign nationals regarding all aspects of U.S. immigration law and compliance.  She provides strategic immigration policy guidance and executes complex immigration programs for leading multinational corporations’ professional and key executive-level employees.  This includes providing counsel to businesses with expansion, start-up and merger and acquisition issues relating to U.S. immigration law.  Specifically, Anna works with investors to apply for E-2 (Treaty Investor) and L-1 (Intracompany Transferees) visas.

Anna also provides advice to company management and foreign nationals regarding immigration law and compliance and related issues.  The scope of her counsel has included providing overviews of immigration procedures to foreign national employees, presenting nonimmigrant visa classifications to human resource teams, and discussing complex strategic goals with executive management specific to clients’ unique concerns. Anna has advised clients with state and federal contracts on new developments surrounding compliance, specifically regarding E-Verify and FAR requirements mandated by state employment verification laws and federal regulations. 

In addition, Anna represents clients before the USCIS to obtain EB-5 Regional Center designation and oversees the green card application process for individual investors in the EB-5 Investor Visa category.  She works with investors to develop relevant corporate documentation necessary for Regional Center designation and to ensure designation and compliance for continued Regional Center designation.  Moreover, Anna counsels and advises foreign national investors from all areas of the world in applying for U.S. permanent residence under the EB-5 visa category, which includes providing guidance and immigration strategy support throughout the complex EB-5 process. 

Anna’s professional pro bono work includes providing legal assistance with VAWA, U visa and DACA matters and legal guidance at workshops sponsored by various non-profit organizations.   She is a substantial supporter of World Relief Chicago as well as the Polish Women’s Civic Club.   

Anna resides in the Chicago area with her husband and two children.
